How We Review & Rank Golf Courses (so it’s fair and useful)

Rankings are fun but only if you know what’s being measured. Here’s the simple scorecard we’ll use for reviews and lists, so you can compare courses apples-to-apples and pick the right round for your trip, budget, and skill level.

Our 7-point scorecard

1. Design & variety: do holes ask different questions?

2. Conditioning: greens, fairways, bunkers, and consistency

3. Walkability: routing, elevation, and pace

4. Value: what you get for the green fee

5. Practice & facilities: range, short game, clubhouse

6. Vibe: staff, culture, and the ‘would you come back?’ factor

7. Memorability: signature moments and story potential
