Light it and the wind comes with it. Salt spray, gorse, wet sand, and the long walk out to the cliffs with the Pacific somewhere below.
Bandon Dunes is the course that started it all. Mike Keiser, a greeting card publisher who believed America deserved real links golf, handed the site to a then unknown young Scot named David McLay Kidd, and it opened in 1999 on the cliffs of southern Oregon. Walking only, caddies or a trolley, and wind that decides how the round goes. Everything the resort has built since traces back to this one.
This candle carries the course map on a 9 oz glass jar. Natural soy wax blend and a cotton wick, so it burns clean and even. Three scents to pick from, and the jar is worth keeping once the wax is gone.
Set it on the desk, the mantel, or the table by the chair where the golf gets watched. The kind of gift that gets used slowly and remembered every time.
